Scripture text: Genesis 3:9-11
After Adam had sinned, God asked him, "Where are you?"
God knew exactly were Adam was, but He caused Adam to stop and think.
God was not asking about Adam's physical location,
but rather where Adam was in his relationship to God.
Likewise, God asks us today, "Where are you?"
Therefore, we must ask ourselves: Where am I in my relationship to God and
what He has asked me to do?
1. Where are you in reference to what God asks you to do with the Gospel? Mark 1:14,15
Repent
Believe
Either you are saved or, like Adam, you are a lost sinner hiding in the bushes.
2. Where are you in reference to what God asks you to do in His service?
Live a life of faith, every day, every minute Romans 1:16,17 Hebrews 10:38*
Spread your faith
3. Where are you in reference to what God asks of you personally?
We are created for a specific set of works. Ephesians 2:10
The will of God for our lives is recognized through prayer--ask Him.
Oftentimes, our dreams, desires, (returning to school, job changes,
other put off yearnings) are the works or stepping stones to the works
that God has planned for us.
Where are you? Are you in the right place?
