No Pictures - you'll thank me later.

Posted at a Chevron parking lot next to a Choice Hotel getting some free internet in Corsicana, Texas. 10:15 am.

Our trip got off to a rip-roarin’ start. We left Cville with the van loaded down; we were carrying some extra stuff since we would be going to the Harmony House.

By Winnsboro I wasn’t feeling so well, so I took the wheel and Greg rode shotgun. Not too long after that I specifically and adamantly told Dale that if his tummy started to hurt he needed to let us know. He gave a big OK and went back to playing. I figured he felt fine and kept telling myself that just because I felt funny didn’t mean that he did too.

We hung a left at the Texaco to go to the school and get the school vehicle for traveling. I was going to drop Greg off and he would follow us back to the harmony house.

We wound through the school parking lots, and were within 50-75 yards of the band hall and the SUV we were there to get when Dale upchucked all over himself.

Without ONE WORD OF WARNING.

I was furious.

I will never ever fault a person for getting carsick. Never ever.

But I TOLD HIM to tell us!! We could have prevented mucho messo.

Thank goodness for my hero of a husband. I tried to help, but one gag told me I better not! Alan stayed buckled up in his seat and watched the whole show. He took one look at the mess Daddy was cleaning up and said, “I don’t like it.” But he wasn’t too upset or anything.

And no, I wasn’t too hard on Dale. I got onto him some, but I made sure he knew it was NOT because he had thrown up, but because HE DIDN’T TELL US HE FELT SICK!!

He bounced back just fine though.

I packed an extra set of clothes or two, but I didn’t want to use those before we even got good and gone, so I dug through and put him in his swimsuit bottoms and the tshirt he was going to sleep in tonight. He doesn’t match, but I figure if anybody even notices they’ll think he dressed himself. J

The boys are both out playing with the Begg’s kids now (8pm Friday) and we have put all our stuff into the school’s SUV. We hope to leave around 7:30 in the morning.
